April 21

The STAR officer (formerly DARE) has started his program that should run about 5 weeks. A book report is due on May 2. The state floats are due on May 1 and will be displayed in the evening for the parents to see. Field day is this Friday starting at about 8:15. They may get wet, so bring a change of clothes. We will be starting to make a mosaic project next Monday.

Field Trip

We are going on a field trip to Mountain View High School to see a musical tomorrow. We are leaving at 8:15. We are having career day on Friday. Both Thursday and Friday are early release at 11:00. Book reports are due on March 25. Parent/teacher conferences are the week of March 24th.

March

Everybody got a book report form and it is due on March 25th. This book is to be an autobiography or a biography. I am sending home a parent/conference sheet that is to be filled out and returned to me as soon as possible. There is a Chapter 5 Science test this Thursday. We are going to Mountain View to watch a Musical/Play on Thursday, March 13.

Rodeo

Remember we are going on a field trip to the rodeo tomorrow. The bus will leave at about 8:30 and get back to school at about 1:00. Either bring your own lunch or bring some money to buy a lunch at a concession stand. We are going to be watching a program at 9:30 while we are there. We are going to keep our science project boards at school until Wednesday so that we can discuss and explain the science project to our buddy class.

Work

Science journal pages 18,24, and 28 are now due. The experiment log, page 30, will be due on February 4. The state reports are due this Friday, February 1. Assignments- Math journal page 121, Reading vocabulary, Science pages 166-167. Science Test for Chapter 4 is this Wednesday.

New Year

We are back from winter break and starting a new year. Two students from my class made the final three in our school Spelling Bee. One of them became the winner. Congratulations! Everyone has the state report information and it will be due on the 28th of January. I also passed out a science project booklet this week. It gives dates and information about the science projects and the science fair. I will pass out other packets and sheets with more information about the science projects. We have an awards assembly on January 17 at about 9:35.
